Booster Club activities in full swing
August 10, 2004
One way to support Silver Lake schools is by joining the local Booster Club.
According to Janet Brunner, Booster Club president, the organization is currently promoting increased membership and selling merchandise.
The membership levels and fees are as follows: $15 for an individual membership; $25 for a family membership; $10 for senior citizens; and $30 for a business. At the Golden Eagle level, a family can join for $50 and receive an item or a business can join for $100 and receive a plaque.
Completed membership forms and payments should be sent to Laura Miller, treasurer, PO Box 85, Silver Lake, Kan., 66539.
Brunner said the Booster Club is also selling merchandise that promotes Silver Lake pride. She said items include T-shirts, license plates, and car magnets, which are new this year.
Anyone interested in purchasing apparel should contact Lori Klein, secretary, at 582-4734 or e-mail her at lklein@rubberworks.org.
Brunner said the first Booster Club meeting will be held on Aug. 18 at the Silver Lake Grade School library at 7 p.m.
Officers for the 2004-2005 school year include Brunner, Jacque Taylor; vice president; Klein and Miller.
