Cow Bingo to raise money for journalism staffs

By Abby Cunningham

October 07, 2004

Members of the high school journalism staff will begin selling squares for Cow Bingo at Friday night's football game against the Rossville Dawgs.

Cow Bingo will take place on Oct. 22 after the football game against Osage City, and one lucky member of the community will win $200.

Squares cost $10 each and will be available for purchase at home high school football and volleyball games prior to Oct. 22. Members of the community may also stop by the high school office and ask for Jamie Manhart, journalism adviser, to purchase squares.

The rules of Cow Bingo are:

- The cow will be let on the field for five minutes immediately following the football game.

- Whoever owns the square that the cow "relieves" itself on will be declared the winner.

- If the cow does not "relieve" itself, then whoever owns the square that the cow is standing on at the end of the five minutes will be the winner.

The journalism staff will use the money raised during Cow Bingo for their yearbook production.
