Seniors qualify one more time for nationals

By Rachel Stover

May 03, 2005

The seniors begin their road to nationals by three qualifying at the NFL qualifier held at Topeka High School on April 23. The qualifiers were seniors Mary Beth Rader in humorous interpretation, and Torrie Fassnacht and Chris Farris in duo. The same seniors also qualified to compete at CFL Nationals in Milwaukee this summer.

Juniors Colin Wilstead and Alex Oyler qualified at NFL Congress held on April 25 at Emporia State University. Wilstead captured first in House and Oyler received second in Senate to qualify for nationals to be held in Philadelphia in June.

Fassnacht and Farris feel they competed “pretty alright,” and everyone is excited about qualifying for the first year.

Although the forensicators felt they competed well, at nationals, they’ll experience even tougher competition and must do even better.
