As Silver Lake community members turn their calendars to the month of August, school becomes a priority for students, parents, teachers and administrators. The back-to-school process will begin with enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year.
Enrollment kicks off on Monday, Aug. 8 at the elementary school. Enrollment for all elementary students will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the grade school band room.
Junior high and high school enrollment will be held in the high school library. Seniors will enroll 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Juniors will enroll noon to 3 p.m. on that same day.
Sophomores will enroll 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, while freshmen will enroll noon to 3 p.m. on that same day.
All junior high students and any new student to the Silver Lake school district will enroll 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11.
Sports practices will begin Monday, Aug. 15. Students report to school on Thursday, Aug. 18. Thursday will be a maroon day.
