AFS sponsors bus to Renaissance Festival

In the mood for music, dancing, fine food, shopping and magical entertainment? Then Jerry Bollig, AFS student organization sponsor, may have just what the doctor ordered.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, AFS will offer a bus to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. The bus departs at promptly 8:30 a.m. from the Silver Lake High School parking lot. The bus will arrive back at approximately 4:45 p.m. Bollig said students may either purchase a ticket through AFS to ride the school bus, or they can use their own transportation.
Tickets are $12 for anyone 13 years old or above and $6 for kids 12 years old and younger. Food coupon books may be purchased for $5.50 each. Bollig encouraged students to purchase the food coupon books in advance so they won't have to carry as much extra cash at the Renaissance Festival.
