Homecoming week included various activities including hall decorating, whitewashing, spirit days, a parade and pep rally. All of these events led up to the crowning ceremony, football game against Pomona and an all-school dance on Oct. 14.

Before the actual Homecoming week started, students decorated their assigned halls with class colors.  The seniors placed first, followed by the sophomores, juniors and the freshmen.

Monday, Oct. 10, served as "Class Color Day," with Whitney Gillman and Heather Herrmann winning spirit day honors. The remaining winners and days are as follows: Rachael Bennett and Britney Workman won "Fairy Tale Day" honors; Logan Pegram and Jordan Lockwood won "I Wouldn't Be Caught Dead in That Day" honors; Jason Mellies and Jacob Deiter won "Favorite Movie Character Day" honors; and Joe Hockett and Carrie Myran won the traditional maroon and gold day honors.

To continue the festivities, the parade took place before the pep assembly. The seniors won first place in school floats, juniors second and freshmen third. The floats that were not high school related also received prizes.   The Reamer Group took first with the "Wizard of Oz" theme, Mike Dalman's group took second and Tracy Haverkamp's group took third with the sixth-grade football theme.

It would not be a proper homecoming unless there was a King and Queen. Congratulations to Kyle Steele and Rachel McCall who were crowned before the football game.
