Senior salutes due in January

December 13, 2005

Parents often say that their "babies grow up so fast!" Now, parents of the graduating class of 2006 have the opportunity to honor their "babies" as they finish their last year of high school.

Parents may buy a senior salute advertisement in this year's "Golden Eagle" yearbook. Senior salutes are advertisements that appear in the book, and for the first time ever, the ads will appear in color. According to Jamie Manhart, yearbook adviser, all 140 pages of the yearbook are being designed in color.

"Senior salutes allow parents the opportunity to personally express their love or wish their child good luck in the future," Manhart said.

The deadline for the senior salutes is Friday, Jan. 6. All copy, photos and checks made payable to Silver Lake High School are due to Manhart by that day. Parents can mail these items to the high school, attention Jamie Manhart, or deliver them to the office.

If parents did not receive a letter concerning the senior salutes, or if parents have questions about content or prices, they may contact Manhart at the high school.
