League vocal, band results announced

On Wednesday, March 15, the Silver Lake choir and band participated in the league competition at Silver Lake High School. Congratulations to the following people who sang or played solos at the league level. Their ratings are listed below.

Junior Jared Wall stated the concert band performed very well at league, and that they will accomplish their goal of getting a "I" at state.

"The band as a whole did very well, and I'm hoping we will do just as well at state," he commented.

Senior Liane Smith explained how hard the concert choir has been working and that a couple of mistakes need to be corrected before the state competition.

"We are working really hard this year, and it paid off at league when we got a one, but we still have a few things to fix before state," she stated.

Bennett, junior, was excited that her group received a "I" at league, and that they are improving so that they can continue on the road to state.

"Our clarinet trio got a "I" at league, and we are hoping to do even better at regionals and make it to state," she commented.
