Royalty announced

On Jan. 26 during halftime of the varsity boys' basketball game, the King and Queen of Winter Sports winners were announced. The King of Winter Sports was Chad Ray, and the Queen of Winter Sports was Emy Ladner. Other royalty included Caitlin Grant, Jill Lira, Jason Corwin and Brian Hill.
During the King and Queen of Winter Sports week, there was a spirit contest in which students dressed up based on James Bond "007" movies. The spirit week winners received a Gatorade and a big cookie from the a la carte. Monday's winners were Paulina Rudolph and Michelle Taylor. Tuesday's winner was Cortney Immenschuh, while Nikole Wilkinson and Alex Campbell took Wednesday honors. Thursday's winners were Jared Stoll and Britney Workman. Friday's winner was Eddie Avila.
After the basketball game, the student council held a dance with DJ Cain Humphrey from FX Unlimited. The dance was held from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
