Dear Parents:
Driver Education will begin this summer on Tuesday, May 29th. All students will be required to be in class on Tuesday, May 29th, and Wednesday, May 30th, from 7 a.m. to 12:00 and from 1-5 p.m. They will also have class on Thursday, May 31st and Friday, June 1st, 11:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.; the final day will be Saturday, June 2nd, from 8 a.m. - noon. This will conclude the classroom portion of driver education and students will be required to complete ALL classroom hours prior to scheduling the driving portion. The driving portion of the class will begin on Monday, June 4th. Students will arrange a driving time with their driving instructor on Saturday, June 2nd, and then be expected to be at the school for their appointed driving time. This should allow students and parents a great deal of flexibility in working around their busy summer schedules.
Students must be l4 years of age prior to the first day of class to enroll in Driver Education and be in the 9th grade or higher. The Driver Education Enrollment Form must be returned to school by Friday, March 30th. The fee will be $80.00 for
in-district students, which includes a learner's permit. Please include the fee with the application. Please return the enrollment form and fee to the junior-senior high school office. Class size is a maximum of 60 students.
Please note: your fee will be refunded if for some reason your child cannot take driver education.
