Select Choir students help others

Group part of scholarship fundraiser

The Silver Lake Singing Eagles will perform on Monday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Washburn University’s White Concert Hall.

They will be under the direction of Tonya McGough and accompanist Cathy Altman. Select Choir members are seniors Thomas Blake, Chelsea Campbell, Colby Killinger, Jordan Lambert, Amanda Pfannenstiel, Austin Roberson, Paulina Rudolph, and Michelle Taylor; juniors Quin Bruce, Emily Farmer, Kayleen Kelley, Autumn Runyan, Lauren Wenger, and Britney Workman; sophomores Karlee Brunner, Rachel Cross, Derek Holmer, Cameron Lambert, Lucas Mitchell, Joseph Priddy, and Peter Ruby; and freshmen Mark Herrmann, Jacob Lambert, and Christin Oyler.

Other groups performing at the concert will be the Shawnee Heights Choraliers, Highland Park Scot Singers, Washburn Rural “This Generation,” Topeka High Madrigals, Seaman Show Choir, Cair Paravel Madrigals, Hayden Singers and Topeka West Singers.

The event, which has been held annually for over 28 years, will be co-sponsored by the Civic Music Club of Topeka and Washburn University with Dr. Ann Marie Snook as the master of ceremonies.

Tickets for the event are $5 at the concert hall, and children 11 and under are admitted free. All proceeds go for music scholarships at Washburn University.
