StuCo adopts a family

The Silver Lake Student Council is reaching out to a family in need this year to make their holiday a special one.
The family consists of a single father, Steven, with his three children. Bryan is 15 years old and requested action movies and clothes. Kayla, 11, asked for Hannah Montana and "High School Musical" CDs. Six-year-old Kasandra put Bratz dolls and a CD player on her Christmas list.
Steven wanted canned goods and boxed meals for his family. He said the items they needed most were blankets.
According to Mary LaMar, StuCo sponsor, the organization will do its best to furnish them with the gifts they need this winter, even a Christmas ham provided they have enough money, but the Council is always open to outside help.
If anyone wishes to help make this holiday a special one for the family, they may donate their goods to Silver Lake High School.
All donated gifts must be unwrapped as a security protocol. If you wish to donate, please deliver the items to StuCo by Tuesday, Dec. 18. The gifts will then be wrapped and sent to the family.
