A trip to McDonald's

As part of the new intervention plan that our school has implemented this year, junior high students with all C’s or above and no late assignments qualified for various activities during seminar on Tuesdays and Fridays. Since junior high students were not allowed to miss seminar, rewarding them with special activities was a way to motivate them. The activities included going to the gym, watching a movie, or going to the computer lab instead of staying in an assigned seminar classroom. Students who met these requirements every week were awarded a trip to McDonald’s at Hunter’s Ridge in Topeka on December 14th, 2007 from 8-9:30 am. A total of 47 students from both 7th and 8th grade took the trip. All of you worked very hard and keep up the good work!
