Soup supper to benefit scholarship fund

            On Feb. 15, the Silver Lake National Education Association will be hosting a soup supper to raise funds for this year’s scholarship account. This account will be used to benefit a 2008 Silver Lake High School graduate. The supper will start at 7 p.m. in the High School Commons Area. The cost for a bowl of chili or potato soup, dessert, carrots, condiments, and a drink is $5.

            The members of the Silver Lake National Education Association this year include Warren Bledsoe, Rick Blush, Jerry Bollig, Pat Bonine, Angie Broxterman, Loretta Chester, Paulette Collman, Allen Cunningham, Amy Davis, Amy Farlee, Paula Fleming, Diana Frownfelter, Bob Grimmett, CJ Hamilton, Judy Hamilton, Patty Hamilton, Diane Herrmann, Joy Hockett, Keith Karlan, Karol Kenzy, Ron Kramer, Mary LaMar, Shelley Lane, Mary Larson, Sandra Liggatt, Beth Lindstrom, Jamie Manhart, Tonya McGough, Deidre Michael, Nancy Musselman, Gail Naylor, Julie Ross, Donna Schmitz, David Schooler, Tina VandeVelde, Christina Weber, Joann Wolf, Brad Womack, and Carolyn Worthington.

            The Association is encouraging the community to come down, eat a bowl of soup, and contribute to the opportunities available to the graduates of Silver Lake High School.
