SILVER LAKE PTO MINUTES

JANUARY 28, 2008

7:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by President Tonia Schuckman at

7:00 p.m.

Present: Paula Cobb, Joei Dasher, Brenda Immenschuh, Cricket Johnston, Duke Kisner, Lori Klein, Nancy Matzke, Julie McDaniel, Deidre Michael, Jenni Miller, Nancy Musselman, Michelle Schenkel, Tonia Schuckman, Beverly Strausbaugh, and Pam Wolfley.

Lori Klein discussed the outcome of the sweatshirt fundraiser and is just waiting for the orders to arrive.

Julie McDaniel discussed the Gambino’s Pizza Card Sales. We have sold 46 cards and have 30 left to sell.

Tonia thanked all that came early and helped with the Work Night. The teacher’s are always thankful for the help. Discussed and approved a Work Night before February PTO meeting.

Jenny Miller discussed the Gift Card Program and passed around a sample order form including the participating stores. A percentage of money from each gift card sale goes back to the school. Each percentage is different depending on each store. Voted and approved this new program. Information will be going out to the parents to make them aware of this new program in the future.

Mrs. Michael and Mrs. Musselman entered their name in the $100 Classroom drawing for the next semester for attending the January meeting.

Tonia Schuckman discussed pamphlets with various fundraising products delivered to her from Pat and Kathy Stenger and if we might be interested for future fundraisers.

Discussed Valentine Breakfastfor Teachers and Staff. Brenda Immenschuh volunteered to head up the breakfast this year. Volunteer sign-up sheet was passed around for items needed for the breakfast. Approved having Breakfast and running it the same as in past years.

Nancy and Paula discussed a Scrap Crop for a possible future fundraiser. They are going to attend one to see how it operates and will check back in with more information at a later date.

Discussed the upcoming Carnival and about volunteers needed to help head up the various areas. Will discuss in more detail next month.

The Treasurer’s Report was given by Pam Wolfley:

Current Treasury balance is: $2950.00 checking account

Interest earned on CD: $764.00

$36.00 profit from recycled ink cartridges

$453.00 profit from Pancake Feed

$238.58 profit from Santa Pictures

Discussed needing parent volunteers for the State Assessment Testing snacks and drinks. (Tentatively have: Nancy Burkhardt will cover 3^rd grade, Pam Wolfley will cover 4^th grade, Paula Cobb will cover 5^th grade and Terri Taylor will cover 6^th grade).

Discussed Basketball Goals for the new playground. Tabled discussion until we find out more information from the school board.

Discussed the Body Walk that we have had in past years. Tonia Schuckman will check into and discuss at next meeting.

Tonia Schuckman adjourned the meeting around 7:45 p.m.
