Homecoming 2008 is now a thing of the past.

Some of the highlights included hall decorating, dressing up, and Hobo Homecoming activities.

Each class decorated their own hallway with a theme. The themes were “Gone Country” for the freshman class, “School of Rock” for the sophomore class, “Love Shack” for the junior class, and “Jungle Fever” for the senior class. The seniors were victorious with their theme, consuming the hallway with vines and leaves and creating a jungle-like atmosphere.

Along with the hall decorations, the students dressed up for spirit week. Monday was “Crazy Day,” and the winners were Junior Jestina Matulka and Senior Zach Bennett. Tuesday was “Multiplicity Day” or “Twin Day,” and the winners were Junior Drake Pino and Sophomores Elliot Cray and Mark Herrmann. Wednesday was “Superhero Day,” and the winners were Sophomore Frankie Workman and Senior Jay McDaniel. Thursday was “Dress-Up-According-To-Your-Hallway-Theme” day and the winners were Freshman Connor Hase and Senior Hannah Hansen.

As well as hall decorations and dressing up for spirit week, there were also Hobo Homecoming winners. Over the week, the students raised money to determine the Hobo Homecoming winners. Freshman class representatives Annie Landis and Jesse Barnes won and were honored in the Homecoming parade. The second and third place winners were the sophomore class, represented by Bobby Rodenbaugh and Christin Oyler, then the junior class, represented by Justin Morgan and Stephanie Mathis.

And, of course, the Homecoming 2008 King and Queen were announced at the football game. Quin Bruce and Britney Workman were chosen by the student body as royalty.
