The 2009-2010 cheerleaders will be junior Shelby Brokaw; sophomores Taylor Schenkel, Miranda Stromgren, Taylor Nocktonick, Ellyn Field, and Lexi Wolfley; freshmen Whitney White, Kaci Campbell, and Rachel Brokaw; and eighth-grader Shayla Miller.

Nocktonick, who switched from the pom team to cheerleading, shared the excitement of many of the other cheerleaders when she discovered that she'd made the squad.

"I would like to cheer in college so I thought I should do high school cheer, and I was just ready to try something new," she said. "My reaction at making cheerleader was very surprised and really excited to know my four best friends made it as well."

Rosebaugh, current pommer, said that she believes the pommers will be very skilled and successful next year.

"My outlook for next year is that we should be pretty good. Everyone on our squad for next year has experience dancing, so we won't have to teach them the fundamentals. I am really looking forward to seeing how hard we can work and hopefully we can bring home some awards from our dance camp this summer," Rosebaugh said.
